Options Skills’ Water Regulations (WRAS) training course is aimed at heating engineers and plumbers looking to gain knowledge of the Water Regulations (1999) and seek to carry out work with a local water company.

Trainees must have knowledge of the plumbing and water industry and, ideally, have two years of experience in the plumbing industry.

Candidates will complete two days of training and assessment.

WHY EARN WATER REGULATIONS QUALIFICATIONS?

Water Regulations Advisory Scheme (WRAS) course is for heating engineers and plumbers requiring knowledge of the Water Regulations (1999) before they apply to join their local water authorities “Water Industry Approved Plumber Scheme”, a plumbing competent person schemes (CPS) or Microgeneration Certification Scheme (MCS) registration bodies.

The WRAS qualification will ensure you are aware of the legal responsibilities to ensure that any water, waste or sanitation systems you work on are safe and installed to the latest regulations. This will ensure any work carried out is done safely and correctly and allow the operative to advise on any existing installations that may need upgrading.

Training is theory-based, earning you an LCL Awards-issued WRAS certificate.

Our Water Regulations (WRAS) training course is usually £300, including VAT. However, through government-backed funding, we can now offer training free of charge to existing plumbers and gas and heating engineers.

We have just had our boiler replaced with a Cool Energy invertech heat pump. From initial enquiry through to recommending a local installer, we cant fault the service. The heat pump is very quiet and so far seems very efficient to run. Very happy!
